First Pioneers
Mid-18th century red military jackets, black breeches, and tricorn hats. Armed with muskets and axes.
Second Pioneers
English Civil War pikemen in buff coats and round helmets, representing a key period in English history.
Smugglers
Our signature costume since 1913, the iconic brown and cream striped guernseys are a symbol of our society.
Society Rules
- No throwing bangers into the crowd.
- No flares or "drop downs" in any procession.
- All under-16s must be accompanied by an adult.
- Smugglers must wear full guernsey costume.
- Torch Lords are selected by committee vote.
- No photography inside the Pioneer dressing room.
